SANDFILLED MATTRESS (SFM) are made from non-woven geotextiles that are sewn together to form large parallel tubes which can be filled with sand or any granular materials into a heavy-duty, continuous and highly flexible erosion protection mattress. Its main application is in stabilization of river slopes from erosion and its permeability and durability ensures its survival in the dynamic actions perpetrated by our fast-flowing river systems.

The system is easy to install & can utilizes sand fill from nearby sources. More economical compare with steel and rock solutions. It can be constructed without damage to the environment / affect local residents and as an environment friendly solution.
